Johnny Hawk Werewolf Hunter
Johnny Hawk has been alone most of his life. After his younger brother was horrendously murdered by a creature no one understands, he was never the same. His father blamed him for the terrible tragedy since it happened on his sixth birthday. At sixteen Johnny left his home in Missouri after a terrible fight with his father and joined John Coffee Hayes’ Texas Rangers to fight in the Mexican American War. The war left him angry and bitter. Johnny is sent for by Sam Penny of the Federal Government who wants the wild young man to put his anger and ability to good use. Johnny accepts Penny’s offer but while on assignment at Fort Defiance on the Navajo Indian Reservation, the young Navajo girl he’d been living with is murdered. To Johnny’s horror he discovers that she was partially eaten. He doesn’t know what he’s up against but after finding two legged paw prints in the snow around the cabin Johnny Hawk has a supernatural connection with the beast and he becomes the Werewolf Hunter. He meets Tori Bryan, who he has an immediate attraction to. Tori is eventually kidnapped by a gang of outlaws called Comanchero’s who do not understand they have a werewolf in their midst. In order to save Tori Bryan, Johnny Hawk must go into battle against this terrible beast. Can he save Tori from the same fate his younger brother and Indian lover suffered? 328 pages.
